Ways to smoke Hashish

Hash, or hashish, is the product of collecting the resin stalks, trichomes, or THC, from cannabis plants. This classic form is commonly collected by growers when they handle the mature plants. The resinous trichomes of the plant rub off on their hands, thus creating the common terminology for it: rub. In some areas it’s referred to as finger or scissor hash. When the plants are trimmed after curing, they also trickle down trichomes. Growers tend to trim over a silk screen, and the sieved product is what’s commonly referred to as kief. It’s also collected in grinders with screens inside, though without a filter through a proper silk screen, it’s not truly a hash. Another common collection technique utilizes several silk screen bags(bubble bags) and ice water to separate the trichomes from the cannabis plant matter and filter them through the screens. This yields a solventless bubble hash, full melt, or ice wax.

Marijuana: Overcoming the Creative Block

It is usual for someone under the influence of the gentle herb, especially Sativa strains, to recognize the normal as abnormal. Upon smoking, looking at ‘ordinary’ things such as trees or household objects, I have found my train of thought more strange and arbitrary than when I am sober. I may inspect the veins of a leaf and ponder its absorption of sunlight or stare at a toaster wondering just how this appliance came to be invented. In fact, a study done at the University of Auckland found that prenatal marijuana use benefits a biomarker of visual neurodevelopment in preschool children. Doctoral researcher Arijit Chakraborty explains: “Children who were exposed to marijuana were almost 50 percent better at the global motion task than those who were not.”

Blueberry Kush

This indica dominant hybrid, a mix of OG Kush and Blueberry, busts up quite easily and has that nice, signature blue aroma. Right away, I could smell that sweet scent that Blueberry almost always has. This strain has a pretty average ash, but a very nice resin which isn’t surprising with such a heavy kush. I thought the smoke was quite light, but almost instantly I could feel my eyes getting pretty heavy. This very smokeable strain is extremely tasty and before I knew it, I was getting easily distracted and I was definitely baked. This kush took away my stomach ache, eased my anxiety, and gave me a general relaxed mind. I would recommend this strain as an anti anxiety and an anti nausea. I wouldn’t recommend this strain to someone looking for a casual high, as an antidepressant, or for pain management. Smoking this strain before bed would probably be best due to the high level of THC and solid stone it gave me. People with insomnia issues would greatly benefit from this strain.

Sativa vs Indica

Alright all you amateur tokers, brownie packers and vapers, lets get talking about marijuana. If you are anything like I was when I started then you know that getting weed isn’t as simple as popping into a medical marijuana shop and asking for “weed”. My fellow writers on shatterbudder have put in alot of time and effort to outline the different strains available and a brief history of each strain but far out people! Too much information you say. Only need to get high you say. Don’t fret! I am here to help you beginner-lings (I swear I thought it was a word frown). Lets start by looking at three main strains available, SATIVA, INDICA and HYBRID. Now, each strain can be differentiated based on so many factors including geographical origin, morphology, flowering time and yield but really..who cares? Personally, I want something that will stimulate my tastebuds (as much as weed can be tasteful) and give me the right kind of high.

Hindu Kush

The dank strain ‘Hindu Kush’ is 100% indica and packs a very nice punch. Right away I noticed the skunky smell, white burning ash, and almost sweet taste. With a high earthy flavor and some great euphoric feelings, this pot was clearly dried and cured properly. I was also impressed by the solid resin forming at the end of the joint, which I would expect from a strong kush. I got a very solid stone from this strain.
